ChallengeAs ringDNA’s Creative Director, I led the brand refresh along with the intital strategy and positioning. Currently, I’m working closely with the team to update our product ecosystem while activating our new brand across all touchpoints.
	ApproachThe new identity is centered around where opportunities converge for our platform’s solutions: data, people and conversations. The logo draws inspiration from the intersection of innovation, communication and human connection – the morse code. This decoding extends beyond the logo and onto other touchpoints as a means to uniquely denote and identify product areas, people and points of interaction.
	OutcomeThis is an ongoing case study. The brand refresh was succesfully launched to coincide with our most recent Series B round led by Goldman Sachs with additional investment from Bryant&#124;Stibel and Palisades Growth Capital.&#38;nbsp;Additional Credits: Sr. Product Designers: Catherine Santoso, Jon Wong; Sr. Brand Designer: Haysol Chung

Challenge
As the company’s Creative Director, I led the brand refresh, strategy, positioning and product design of both consumer app (Gem) and enterprise blockchain platform (GemOS).
	ApproachDistilling a nascent space of technical complexity to experiential simplicity. Every decision across each brand touchpoint was meant to amplify approachability, clarity, empowerment, and ultimately delight.On-ramps included an initial portfolio tracker which would later evolve into more complexity by allowing for transactions through a non-custodial wallet, and the world of NFTs - rare, digital collectibles.
	OutcomeThe design work, specifically the UI and UX of the consumer app continues to be championed across both App (4.9) and Play (4.7) Stores. Our brand presence prior to launch at one of the largest crypto/blockchain conferences, Consensus, was met with excitement and praise and even called “one of the coolest blockchain startups” by PCMag.&#38;nbsp;

Frank Says...Karuna Ranch is a private family estate built in 1909 by architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Accommodations for architecture fans and an escape to Montana’s scenic wildnerness, are all a part of the new Karuna Ranch experience.

My dear friend, former colleague reached out to me to build a brand around her family’s treasured private estate. To my surprise, their estate happened to be a Frank Lloyd Wright design which he built in 1909.
	ApproachTimeless and classic with just an inkling of modernism - all familiar traits of FLW designs that we wanted to highlight and complement through the use of familiar typography and a striking earthy palette.
	OutcomeThe branding, design and eventual front-end build was all completed in a brisk month-long timeline, launching in the Spring of ‘17.

Grand Central Tech reached out to refresh their brand and ultimately their web presence as a means to activate interest for ongoing enrollment programs and potential investors and partners.
	ApproachThe original logomark which had quite a bit of equity within the tech community was simplified. The rest of the entire existing visual language and website, was completely refactored from scratch.
 
	OutcomeAfter completing the brand refresh and UIs for the website, due to an unforseen aggressive change on the launch date, the internal management team decided to bring front-end development in-house and launch a different and spartan version of the intended design.

Impactful Gift Giving

Grand Central Tech reached out regarding a new product, with the intention of nominating and highlighting underrepresented companies and products from the start up community. It needed to be built fast and scalable, once companies and products were vetted.
	Approach
A logomark was created based on the concepts of gifting and the gift that keeps giving. An approachable and crisp selection of colors and typography followed, while the website focused mostly on clarity (what is this about) and functionality (how can I nominate).

Fixing Democracy In A New America
Greenpeace is a non-governmental movement fighting for a green and peaceful future for our oceans, forests, food, climate and democracy.

They wanted to evoke concepts of a reimagined American identity and democracy.
	ApproachConcepts were generated and approved by Greenpeace and were developed and illustrated with a clean and textured approach. Colors were used to highlight the positives or conversely accentuate the somber, problematic issues.&#38;nbsp;
 

	OutcomeThe series of illustrations were launched across Twitter, Instagram and Facebook just in time for the 2016 Election Primaries.

A Smarter, Stronger &#38;amp; Kinder Street
Sesame Workshop is the nonprofit organization behind Sesame Street, providing educational learning resources through television, articles and other media.&#38;nbsp;
	&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;&#38;nbsp;


Challenge
Sesame Street’s new tagline "Helping kids grow stronger, smarter and kinder,” needed a new 3 second animation that would start each of Sesame’s youtube videos.&#38;nbsp;
	ApproachCollaborating with The VP of Creative and VP of Marketing at Sesame Workshop, we explored simple and fun animations that could be engaging enough while not overpowering their new taglines. All of the explorations were keyframed by hand, allowing for the most flexibility within a 3-4 second time constraint.
 

	OutcomeThe open and end title animation for the new tagline was launched succesfully across Sesame and Sesame Workshop’s new video content (online and offline). Challenge
Sesame Workshop’s VP of Creative reached out to create an animation used as a holiday greeting to business partners, sponsors, government, international, manufactures &#38;amp; vendors.
	ApproachCombining green screen footage of the Cookie Monster and illustrated numbers, a cookie countdown to the New Year was made. This proved to be an engaging and humorous take on Cookie Monster’s voracious appetite for cookies.
